The sneaker project is an ongoing body of work. Friend's purchase used sneakers for themselves and I hand illustrate them. Then I return them as customized, reinvented works of art that also function. I encourage my friends to were them and allow them to degrade.

By giving new life to these sneakers discarded by their previous owners, I’m exploring ideas of recycling and reinvention.

These particular Nike’s were bought at a local thrift store here in Hialeah, FL and are the first in the project. I’m currently working on another pair which will be up soon.
